Ein Kondensator ist ein passives elektronisches Gerät, das elektrische Ladung speichert. Keramikkondensatoren bestehen aus zwei oder mehr abwechselnden Schichten aus Keramikmaterial als Dielektrikum und Metallschichten, die als nicht polarisierte Elektroden fungieren. Zu den Anwendungen gehören Automobilbau, Bypass, Entkopplung, Filterung, HF- und ESD-Schutz. Durchsteckversionen sind oft scheiben- oder „blob“-förmig und haben zwei Drahtanschlüsse.
